The room was generously sized and offered a stunning view, plus they provided a wake-up service if needed.

Rio hotels seem to be the only hotels that charge for the internet. I travel worldwide and internet is usuallly free. The lobby bar tried to charge me the equivalent of £35.00 for a double JD and coke. I accept that hotel bars are expensive but that was ridiculous. Normal price should be about £10.00. Rates should include all the various government taxes and service charge to give a realistic idea of the actual cost.

The only things that I believe they value the money you pay at Pestana are the excellent service, the friendly staff and the perfect location. Make sure you get an ocean view room or better choose another hotel.

The hotel can`t classified as a five stars hotel, very old deteriorated rooms and corridors, 80th time furniture, awful illumination and appalling facilities. the hotel needs an overall urgent renovations.

The hotel room was spacious and had a coffee machine, which I loved. The large terrace was a great addition to the room. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering recommendations for nearby attractions.

I liked the location, the staff and the lobby/restaurant/bar.

The rooms are very dated. Downstairs is very nice so when you see the bedroom is disappointing.

Convenient location for where we wanted to go - easy to walk to all our destinations. 🚶‍♂️

The rooms are very old and smell very bad. I got "upgraded" to a superior suite. There was absolutely nothing superior to it nor suite

I had a great time at this place, the rooftop bar was fantastic and the drinks were delicious.

The assistance of the manager Mr Lima in changing my room from a room that was not up to standard to a sea facing suite as per my original request.

The location here is fantastic, right on Copacabana; the staff are all excellent and friendly; the breakfasts are always amazing with options like omelettes and pastries.

Had a comfortable stay for a great vacation, enjoyed good sleep in the apartment with a partial view of the sea, in a stunning and amazing location close to many attractions, exactly what I expected.

Very clean bathrooms. Views to the beach, nice staff. Pillows are great! Would stay there again.

The staff attitude was poor. It is not a 5 start except for the prices which are not value for money.

Like the rest of the hotels in the area the value / price ratio is not good. Too expensive for what they offer. But looking at prices, apparently that's what you have to pay if you want to stay in Rio.
